NACDL’s The Champion Publishes Informative Pieces

An accomplished attorney in New York, Howard Tanner is managing partner at Tanner & Ortega, LLP. In this capacity, he specializes in criminal defense and administrative law and has tried more than 75 felony cases to verdict. Dedicated to staying active within the professional community, attorney Howard Tanner belongs to several organizations, including the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL).

Since 1958, the NACDL has been working to keep criminal defense lawyers in the United States up-to-date on changes within the field. To this end, the organization maintains several publications, including The Champion magazine. The Champion is the organization’s journal, providing informative articles about the contemporary criminal defense field to lawyers. Many of the articles in the magazine are written by criminal defense lawyers, themselves, and cover such topics as developments in grand jury proceedings and white collar crime.

The NACDL publishes The Champion 10 times each year, and back issues of the magazine are maintained online for easy reference. All subject matter published in the magazine must be of interest to NACDL members. Editors focus on accepting practical pieces that help readers better perform in their jobs. Any submitted pieces should ideally be supported by an author’s own experience in practice and feature plenty of case references, though the magazine will consider pieces that focus on related theories.
